Booking charges
The total amount payable by a guest for a booking may include one or more of the following components:
• accommodation charges for the stay
• cleaning, linen or other property-specific charges
• booking fees, traveller service fees or guest service fees
• booking administration, payment and settlement administration, or reconciliation charges
• digital, technology, platform or distribution-related charges
• asset protection or guest protection charges
• government taxes, levies or other statutory charges
• optional extras or ancillary services selected by the guest.
Not all charge types apply to every booking.
The charge structure for a booking depends on the property, booking source, booking channel and services included or selected.
Any mandatory or unavoidable charges that can be calculated at the time the price is displayed will be included in the total price in accordance with applicable Australian consumer law. Optional charges will be disclosed before they are selected or agreed.
Booking structure
Bookings made through a Trova-supported website, booking engine, trading name or marketplace may involve more than one entity, depending on the property, booking source and service structure.
The entities involved may include the accommodation supplier, property manager or accommodation operator, booking platform or distribution channel, Trova Pty Ltd, and other service providers involved in facilitating, administering, supporting or fulfilling the booking.
The contracting entity, applicable terms and relevant responsibilities for each booking will be identified in the booking terms and conditions presented at the time of booking.
Allocation of charges
Not all components of the total booking price necessarily represent accommodation charges payable to the accommodation supplier.
Depending on the booking structure, different components of the total booking price may be charged, collected, received, administered, distributed or retained by the accommodation supplier, Trova Pty Ltd, a related entity, the relevant booking platform or distribution channel, or another service provider involved in facilitating, administering, supporting or fulfilling the booking.
The applicable pricing, fees and booking terms will be disclosed during the booking process and, where applicable, in the booking confirmation and the terms and conditions applying to the reservation.
Accommodation supply
Trova does not own or operate the accommodation inventory made available through supported booking channels.
The accommodation is supplied by the relevant accommodation operator, property manager, hotel operator or other accommodation supplier identified in the applicable booking terms and conditions.
Trova’s role is limited to the booking, distribution, digital commerce, administration and related support services described in these terms, unless otherwise expressly stated for a particular booking.
Terms and conditions
Each booking is subject to the specific terms and conditions presented to the guest before the booking is completed.
Those terms and conditions may identify the contracting entity, accommodation supplier, applicable cancellation terms, pricing and fee structure, and the respective rights and obligations relating to the booking.
Guests should review the applicable terms and conditions carefully before confirming a booking. Relevant pricing, fees and booking conditions will be disclosed through the reservation quote or booking process before the guest completes the reservation.
Related entities
Trova may work with related entities and third-party service providers in connection with digital infrastructure, booking engines, website operations, payment and settlement administration, customer support, distribution and channel management, protection-related programmes, and other operational or ancillary services.
Where relevant, those services form part of the broader booking, distribution, administration and support framework associated with the reservation.
